Este hinário originou como uma oportunidade que fosse patrocinada por Padrinho Paulo Roberto, com a finalidade de aprofundar o sentido do irmandade com a corrente local a que eu tenho atendido. Foi tradicional cantar o hinário inteiro no trabalho da pessoa do aniversário mas, por esse tempo, eu tinha recebido quase 600 hinos! No interesse do viabilidade, eu procurarei através dos dezenove livros para encontrar trinta hinos que se encontraram com os seguintes critérios:
1. Eu poderia fàcilmente recordar a melodia;
2. Seriam fáceis para que meus irmãos aprendam (e, à extensão possível, aquele eram já familiares com), e
3. os hinos expressariam a escala possível a mais larga das visões, dos sentimentos e dos ensinos que eu tinha recebido nos trabalhos.

Conseqüentemente, esta coleção deve ser considerada, melhor que como de "as batidas as mais grandes Barry" ou "o mais melhor do irmão Barry," tão simplesmente um exame dos momentos em minha vida espiritual, apenas quanto as fotografias (que eu forneci na margem esquerda) compreendem uma vista geral de minha vida. Naturalmente, a intenção do todo o isto é facilitar meu próprio inventário pessoal de modo que aprenda de meu passado e então livre de eu mesmo dele.

Minha outra esperança é que meu esforço neste pôde o inspirar honrar suas próprias raizes e iniciar algum ato monstroso creativo da auto-autoridade espiritual!

This hinário came about as an opportunity, sponsored by Padrinho Paulo Roberto, to deepen the sense of brotherhood with the local current I had been attending. It has been traditional to sing one's entire hinário at one's birthday work but, at the time, I had received almost 600 hymns!

For that reason, in the interest of feasability, I combed through the nineteen books to find thirty of them which met the criteria:
1. I could easily remember the melody;
2. They would be easy for my brothers and sisters to learn (and, to the extent possible, that they were already familiar with), and
3. The hymns would express the broadest possible range of the visions, feelings and teachings I had received in the works.

Therefore, this collection should be considered, rather than as "Barry's greatest hits" or "The Best of brother Barry," as simply a survey of moments in my spiritual life, just as the photographs I've provided in the left margin are an overview of my life. Of course, the intention of all this is to facilitate my personal inventory so that I ca both learn from my past and then free myself of it.

My other hope is that my effort in this might inspire you to honor your own roots and initiate some monstrously creative act of spiritual self-authority!
